By downloading, installing, or using EstimateBook, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
EstimateBook is a business tool built for tradespeople and independent contractors. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use it, and you're using it in connection with your trade or business, not as a consumer product.
EstimateBook helps you put together job estimates quickly. You describe a job (by typing, speaking, or attaching a photo) and the app uses AI to draft itemized line items with suggested prices. You review and edit the draft, then share it as a PDF with your customer.
You need a verified Apple, Google, or email account to use EstimateBook, including the free tier. Email registration requires a six-digit verification code. Your estimates, business details, and settings are stored locally on your device, as described in our Privacy Policy.
A verified account is required to use EstimateBook. You can create one with Apple, Google, or email. Email accounts remain outside the app until the six-digit verification code is confirmed.
You must meet the eligibility requirements in Section 1 to create an account. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. If you believe your account has been accessed without your permission, contact us at the email in Section 15.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, in addition to any other rights we have under Section 14 (Termination).
See our Privacy Policy for exactly what we collect when you sign in and how to request deletion of your account.
This is the most important thing in these terms, so we're putting it plainly: everything EstimateBook generates is a suggestion, not a fact.
The line items and prices the AI produces are based only on the description you give it: text, a photo, or both. They are not a quote from us, not a valuation, and not professional, legal, tax, or engineering advice of any kind. The AI can be wrong, out of date, or miss something specific to your job, your region, or your materials.
You are solely responsible for reviewing, correcting, and standing behind every figure before you send an estimate to your customer. Whatever you send is your estimate, made by you, not by EstimateBook. We are not a party to any contract, quote, or agreement between you and your customer, and we have no involvement in the job itself.
EstimateBook can apply a sales-tax rate to an estimate using regional presets we provide as a convenience. Tax rates change, and they vary by locality and by what's actually being taxed (labor vs. materials, for example) in ways a general preset can't always capture.
You're responsible for verifying that the tax shown on any estimate is correct for your jurisdiction and the specific job before you send it. Don't rely on the preset as a substitute for checking with your local tax authority or accountant.
EstimateBook offers a free tier with a limited number of estimates per calendar year. EstimateBook Pro removes that limit and unlocks additional features, for US$24.99/month or US$179/year. A verified account is required for both tiers.
A Pro subscription is auto-renewing. It will renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
Subscriptions are managed and cancelled through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings, not by contacting us. We don't have the ability to cancel or refund a subscription on your behalf; refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies.
We may change subscription prices from time to time, with notice provided in advance. Any price change applies to future billing periods only. It never changes the price of a period you've already paid for.
Use EstimateBook lawfully and don't:
The job descriptions, photos, business name, and logo you put into EstimateBook are yours. We don't claim ownership of any of it.
By using the app's AI features, you grant us the limited permission needed to send that content to our backend and its processors for the sole purpose of generating a response for you, nothing more. See our Privacy Policy for exactly how that works.
To generate an estimate, your job description (and a photo, if you attach one) is sent to third-party AI providers. If you use voice input, your recording is sent to a transcription service to convert it to text. Full details on what's sent, to whom, and why are in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
EstimateBook is provided "as is." We aim to keep it available and working well, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access: features may be changed, limited, or discontinued at any time, and the service may be unavailable due to maintenance, outages at a third-party provider, or other factors outside our control.
EstimateBook is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty that the app or its AI-generated content will be accurate, reliable, or fit for a particular purpose.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rigal Tech Inc. is not liable for lost profits, underbid jobs, missed materials, or any other business loss arising from your reliance on an AI-generated estimate or tax calculation. Our total liability to you for any claim related to EstimateBook is capped at the amount you paid us in subscription fees in the 12 months before the claim arose (or, if you're on the free tier, zero).
You agree to cover reasonable costs and damages we incur if a third party brings a claim against us arising from your misuse of the app, an estimate you sent to a customer, or your violation of these terms. This doesn't apply to claims caused by our own negligence or breach of these terms.
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll let you know through the app or by updating the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use EstimateBook after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
You can stop using EstimateBook at any time by deleting the app or, if you signed in, by asking us to delete your account as described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or discontinue the app, your account, or your access to specific features, if you violate these terms or for any other reason, with or without notice.
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
